Something Different at SMC!

Well this week SMC is having a blog hope and they are switching things up a bit.  This week the teams are switching places and the Outside DT members are hosting the blog hop while the Sponsor team has to find an outside challenge to enter their card to.   I don’t usually do outside challenges, just way to time consuming b/c I get looking and have to check them all out.  I have to admit though this was fun for a change of pace!!!   Be sure and check out the blog hop over at SMC and thanks for stopping by today!

Today I did a project using this great image from

One of our great April sponsors this month.

They have some really cute images you should check them out.   I got the cheerleader to do and my daughter when she was in from college at Easter decided to color with me so we could have some quiet time together.  She colored the image in with the colors of her very first team for little league, the first team that I got to help her by acting as a team mom.  

That was the first of many great years we had together during her cheerleading days.  

I decided to do a Cheerleader Survival kit hoping to give someone inspiration b/c these are so easy to make and they really mean a lot to the girls.   Below is the poem that should be attached.

Glitter : To remind you to keep positive thoughts, and always sparkle.
Throat Lozenge : to soothe your throat after yelling for the team
Rubber band : To remind you, in order to get along with each other, we must all stay flexible.
Smiley Face : To help you out when you think you can't smile even for one more minute.
Gum : To remind you to "stick" together as a team.
Paperclip—to help hold things together when the going gets tough
Milky Way : To remind you to reach for the stars, and follow your dreams.
Candle : To remind you to always "shine"
Cotton Balls : To cushion any rough roads.
Band-Aid to heal all those aches and pains

A mint—to remind you you are worth a mint to many!
Kisses : Because we love you.

Oldie But Goodie Card

As many of you know Thursdays are Oldie but Goodie day over at Bugaboo and today I was able to play along!   I did this card for a monthly swap I am in.  It is such a great group every month we do 10 cards and get 10 back we don't have a theme and the cards are awesome each month.   Anyway be sure to check out the other projects on the blog submitted for today you will not be disappointed!

Supplies used:

Bugaboo image of course, don't you just love him, the paper is actually fabric, I had it in a fabric box which I had out the other day and instantly thought of this  image.   I stitched it on a card base. the image of the sentiment is a freebie I found on the web, is it not perfect for this image, then I just made the lasso with a brad it in.  I used glue for the lasso did not think tombo would be a good stick for this.

Hey you little monster!

Check out this cutie, it is part of the monster line from Paperpopsicle.  Our theme this week is stitching!  I am so glad I got my mini sewing machine I have used it so much more than I thought I would I love it!

Here is my card for this week.   I colored the image with my copics and used my American craft papers for the card.  I’m sorry the sentiment is a great freebie I found on the web but I am sorry I don't know the name of who provided it but I loved it when I saw the set.

Today I am showing you a card I did for SMC today for one of our monthly  sponsors  The Cutting Cafe.  They provided us with these adorable flowers to create our project today.

Yeah we are having a challenge at Bugaboo!!!

First off A Huge Happy Birthday to Scrappy a fellow dt member, when you visit be sure to wish her happy birthday in your comment!!

Well you should have come to me from Jodie’s blog, if not please make sure you begin at the start of the hop here !

So today is our first Challenge with the entire team and we are so excited!!!   We decided today to go with a “Bug” theme so to participate your project must have a bug on it.

Well I decided to do 2 projects today.  The first one is this adorable write on board that I found at Tuesday Morning, I love that store.  I saw the butterfly and decided I had to have it.  I added the Cat with the pot and the butterflies to complete my project.  I colored the images glued them on then covered them with diamond glaze to seal the. 

I hope you like it!

My second project is also an altered item from Tuesday Morning!   The image Jodie snuck in on us and I fell in love!!!! Then I found this cute little box and knew just what I was going to do with it!!

This little image can be found in the store as well but you should check out all the others that go with!!! OMG you will love them!

 

Now the best part about these projects is that both cost $3  to purchase and with flowers and ribbon $4 total to make, you can’t beat that!!

It’s all about the colors!

Over at the Crafty  Ho’s blog this week we want to see your pastel!!!  I love when we do these challenges because we realize that there are so many different thought and ideas!   Here is a card that I actually go the kit in the mail for  a monthly swap I am in, they send the image and the DP and we do the rest.  

The image is a great one from Stampin UP.  Not sure on the DP but I paired it up with the PTI and my ribbon is from my stash.   I drew on the stitching b/c I  did  not have my great sewing machine my great friend Sandye enabled me to get.  I have to admit I love it though!   I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge over here

Welcome to a new week at Paperpopsicles!

This week Birthday is the  is the them and sweet is what we have to offer.

My first card is a strawberry shaped card that I “dipped” in chocolate, almost looks good enough to eat!  I got to use my new sewing machine to create the stitching for it so so glad my friend told us about the great little tool to add to our long list of “must have” gadgets!!!

Celebrate Earth Day 2010!

This is a card I did for the Crafty Ho blog.  Our theme today is Earth day of course and your challenge today is to recycle,  try to use something on your card or project that is recycled or a recycle theme.  March harder than I thought it would be.  I hope you will join us this week!

My card of course is a recycled them, using one of the newest freebies given to followers at Bugaboo, super hero, I found the globe coloring page and shrunk it and added the arrows to the card from another project I had.   Thanks for stopping by!
